The Vendor Pulse dashboard is your portfolio-level view: how many vendors you have, how their assessments are progressing, where risk is concentrated, and which vendors need attention first.
The dashboard comes in two layouts. Dashboard V2 is the default and is described first. Dashboard V1 is the earlier layout and is still available from a switch in the top bar.

Your choice is remembered in the browser you are using, so the dashboard opens on the same layout next time. A different browser or device starts on V2.

Compliance bands are Non-Compliant (25% or below), Partially-Compliant (above 25% up to 50%) and Compliant (above 50%).
Risk score bands are Low (0–3), Medium (above 3 up to 5), High (above 5 up to 7) and Critical (above 7).
The Total Vendors card has two controls:

The legend shows each state's count and its share of the total. A state with a count of zero is left out of the chart. With no assessments at all the panel reads No assessment data yet.
Beneath the chart is a Vendors list — the 100 vendors with the most recent activity, each with its status and number of assessments. Filter it with the chips:

Click a vendor to open its Profile tab (needs vendor:view). If a chip matches nothing the list reads No vendors for this filter.
Up to five vendors with the highest risk scores, drawn as bars. Bar height shows relative risk within this set and each bar is labelled with the vendor's score. The vendor's logo, name and domain sit under each bar.
Click a vendor to open its Manage Risk tab.
If no vendor has a score the panel reads No vendor risk data available.
A 4 × 4 grid counting onboarded vendors at each intersection of Business Impact and Criticality, each split into Low, Medium, High and Critical.
A vendor is only counted if it is Onboarded, has an Impact / Materiality value and has a risk score.
To see the vendors in a cell:
Empty cells do nothing when clicked.
A large number shows how many risks are still open, with "open of N total" beside it. A bar chart below splits the risks by severity and shows, for each severity, how many are open out of the total.
A risk counts as open when its status is Pending, Planning, In Progress or On Hold. Completed and Waived risks are closed.
A bubble chart of the top five industries by onboarded vendor count. Bubble size is proportional to the number of onboarded vendors in that industry.
Click a bubble to open the vendor list already filtered to that industry and to status Onboarded.
The earlier layout shows the same portfolio in three columns.

If you have no vendors at all, V1 shows Get Started by Adding Your First Vendor! with an Add Vendor button.
The dashboard shows an access-denied screen → You need dashboard:view.
Everything is empty or reads "No data available" → Add a vendor first; assessment and risk panels fill in as assessments are sent and risks are raised.
The Average Compliance Rate or Average Risk Score card is blank → Both average over onboarded vendors only. Until a vendor with assessment results is set to Onboarded there is nothing to average.
The Risk Matrix shows nothing → It counts onboarded vendors that have both an Impact / Materiality value and a risk score.
A vendor I expected is missing from High Risk Vendors → Only the five highest-scoring vendors are shown, and a vendor with no risk score is never included.
Clicking a vendor does nothing → Opening a vendor from the Assessment Status list needs vendor:view.
I cannot see Add Vendor on the Total Vendors card → It needs vendor:add.
I cannot find the layout switch → The dashboard icon in the top bar only appears while you are on the Dashboard page.
The dashboard opened in a different layout than last time → The layout choice is stored per browser. Pick it again from the switch.
The Active Assessments number is higher than the Ongoing slice → The card counts upcoming and ongoing assessments together.
