Troubleshooting Common Issues in Vendor Pulse

This guide covers common issues in Vendor Pulse and how to resolve them.

Login & Permissions

Many "I can't see/do X" issues are missing permission scopes — a user without the required scope sees an "Unauthorized" screen.

SSO login failsConfirm your IdP session is active; log out and back in, or contact your IT administrator.
The Add Vendor button is missingAdd the vendor:add scope. See Vendor Pulse: Roles & Permissions Reference.
Can view vendors but cannot create/edit assessmentsAdd vendor:assessment:add (review needs vendor:assessment:review).
MasterVault or ZIN sections are missingAdd master:view / zin:view respectively.
Cannot see ReportsAdd the shared report:view scope.

Adding & Managing Vendors

IssueWhat to do
Vendor auto-suggest not workingSuggestions appear after typing at least 3 characters and require an internet connection to query the external profile database.
Duplicate vendor createdUse the auto-suggest match rather than typing a new entry. Check the vendor list before adding.

Assessments & Questionnaires

IssueWhat to do
Vendor didn't receive the questionnaireVerify the vendor contact email on the vendor's details page and resend. Ask them to check spam.
Cannot edit a sent assessmentSent assessments lock some fields to preserve the audit trail. Create a new version if changes are needed.
AI Questionnaire Assistant returns no suggestionsIt relies on the ZIN Knowledge Base — make sure relevant documents/answers have been added.
Vendor cannot submit in the portalThe vendor needs the Admin or Collaborator role, not Viewer.

Risk Scores, DRM & Reports

IssueWhat to do
Dashboard shows no dataData populates once vendors are added and assessments created.
Digital Risk (DRM) tab emptyDRM needs a vendor with a valid domain and a SaaS plan with DRM enabled. Viewing requires vendor:digital:view.
Risk score not updatingScores update as responses are reviewed and findings recorded on the vendor's Risk tab.
