How to Upload Data via Manual Ingestion

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Manual Ingestion section
  • Security data in CSV or Excel format

  • Uploading Data

    Navigation: Sidebar → Manual Ingestion

    Step 1: Open Manual Ingestion

  • Click Manual Ingestion in the sidebar.
  • The page shows a table of all previous ingestion records with their status.
  • Step 2: Download the Template

  • Click the Download Template option.
  • Select the connector type for your data.
  • Download the template file.
  • Fill in your data following the template structure.
  • > Tip: Always use the downloaded template to ensure your data maps correctly. Custom formats may fail during import.

    Step 3: Upload the Data

  • Click the Import Data button.
  • In the modal:
  • Select the Connector Type matching your data
  • Upload your completed CSV/Excel file
  • Click Submit to start the ingestion.
  • Step 4: Review the Import

  • A Data Table Preview modal may appear showing the parsed data.
  • Review the data for accuracy.
  • Confirm the import.

  • Tracking Ingestion Status

    The import table shows all ingestion records:

    Adding Comments

  • Click on an ingestion record.
  • Add comments to document notes or issues about the imported data.

  • Troubleshooting

    Upload failsVerify the file format matches the template (CSV or Excel). Check for empty required columns.
    Data not appearing in Asset InventoryProcessing may take a few minutes. Check the ingestion status — if "Failed", download the error log.
    Wrong connector type selectedDelete the failed ingestion and re-upload with the correct connector type.
    Template download not workingTry a different browser. The template is an Excel file that requires a compatible viewer.
