How to Set Up Morning Briefings

Overview

Interno does not have a scheduled "morning briefing" feature that assembles and sends you a report on its own. What it does have are two building blocks you can combine into a start-of-day routine:

  1. ZIN Advisor — ask for a summary of your posture whenever you want one, and get charts, tables and figures back in the chat.
  2. Alerts in the Query Library — saved queries that run on a repeating interval, so a condition is watched for you between check-ins.

This guide shows how to use both.

Prerequisites

  • At least one integration connected and scanned, so there is data to summarise
  • For ZIN Advisor: an Interno account on the Zeron cloud platform (ZIN Advisor is not shown on-premises)
  • To save a scheduled alert: the Query Create permission (defence:query:create)

Option 1: Ask ZIN Advisor for a Start-of-Day Summary

Navigation: Sidebar → ZIN Advisor

  1. Click ZIN Advisor in the sidebar.
  2. The chat opens on the screen headed What can I help you with?
  3. Either type your own question, or click one of the six use-case cards to load a ready-made prompt into the message box, edit it, and send it.

The six cards are the fastest way to get a broad picture each morning:

Making it a routine

  • Ask follow-up questions in the same conversation to drill into anything that stands out — the session keeps its context.
  • Rename that conversation (hover it in the Recent Chats list) so you can find yesterday's answers and compare.
  • Start a + New Chat each morning if you would rather keep days separate.

> Note: ZIN Advisor answers about the data Interno has already collected. If an integration has not scanned recently, the summary will be as old as its last scan.

Option 2: Have Interno Watch a Condition For You

Navigation: Sidebar → Assets → Query Library → Alert

An alert is a saved query that runs on a repeating interval, so you do not have to remember to check the condition yourself.

  1. Open Assets → Query Library and select the Alert tab.
  2. Existing alerts are listed with their Interval, Last Executed and Next Execution, so you can see what is already being watched and when it next runs.
  3. Click Create Alert to add one.
  4. To run an existing alert immediately, open its row menu and choose Trigger.

Pair the two options: let alerts watch the conditions that matter overnight, and use ZIN Advisor in the morning for the wider picture.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find a briefings screen or a briefings schedule → There is not one. Use the two routines above.

ZIN Advisor is not in my sidebar → It is available on the Zeron cloud platform only, not on on-premises deployments.

The summary is thin or says there is no data → ZIN Advisor can only summarise what has been collected. Check under Admin → Integrations that your integrations are active and their scans have completed.

The figures look out of date → Open the integration's credential card under Admin → Integrations and check its scan information, then run Start Scan if needed.

The Alert tab shows an access-denied screen → The Alert tab requires the defence:query:view permission, and creating alerts requires defence:query:create. Ask your administrator.
