At least one integration connected with data
Creating an AI Dashboard
Navigation: Sidebar → Dashboard → ZIN Dashboard
Step 1: Describe What You Need
Navigate to the Dashboard section.
Select the ZIN Dashboard option.
You will see a prompt input area with suggestion chips.
Type what you want in natural language, for example:
"Create a CISO dashboard with risk posture, vulnerability trends, and compliance score"
"Show me endpoint security metrics with patch status and threat detection rates"
"Build an executive dashboard for board reporting"
> Tip: Use the suggestion chips for common dashboard types if you want a quick start.
Step 2: Review AI-Suggested Widgets
After entering your prompt, ZIN analyzes your request.
It suggests a set of KPIs/KRIs with appropriate visualization types.
Review each suggested widget:
Widget title and description
Data source and query
Chart type
Step 3: Customize and Finalize
Accept, modify, or remove individual widgets.
Adjust chart types or add additional widgets.
The dashboard is created with the final widget set.
Widgets are arranged in a drag-and-drop grid that you can rearrange.
How It Differs from Custom Widget Builder
| Feature | AI Dashboard Builder | Custom Widget Builder |
|---|
| Input method | Natural language prompt | Visual query builder / SQL / AI per widget |
| Speed | Creates full dashboard in seconds | Build one widget at a time |
| Best for | Quick dashboard creation, exploring metrics | Deep customization, specific queries |
| Learning curve | None — just describe what you need | Some knowledge of data tables/SQL helpful |
Widget Drill-Down
On any dashboard, click on a widget to drill down into its data.
The widget detail view shows:
Full data table behind the visualization
Filtering options
Expanded chart view
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|
| AI suggestions are not relevant | Be more specific in your prompt. Include specific metrics, tools, or security domains. |
| Dashboard has no data | Verify integrations are connected and syncing. AI dashboards query live data from your integrations. |
| Cannot modify suggested widgets | Click on individual widgets in the review step to edit or remove them. |
| Dashboard layout looks wrong | Switch to edit mode and drag-and-drop widgets to rearrange. |
